Lauren Rimmer

Lauren is an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist within a Community Mental Health Team, where she works as an independent prescriber supporting adults with a range of mental health conditions. She has worked across multiple large NHS trusts, gaining experience in a variety of specialties before choosing to specialise in psychiatry. Lauren also brings expertise from medical affairs and academic research, having completed a PhD in Neuroscience, which looked at the cause and potential treatments of schizophrenia. She has presented her work at international conferences and has a commitment to advancing clinical knowledge and improving patient outcomes.

She holds a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm, University of Manchester 2017), a PhD in Neuroscience (University of Manchester, 2023) and is an independent pharmacist prescriber.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys reading and staying active through skiing, running, going to the gym and dancing.
